Apparently, a parking lot at the Southeast corner of the Lake Creek/Hwy 183 intersection is quite a romantic spot. Getting into my car last night, something on the ground caught my eye: a condom wrapper. Trojan Extra Pleasure.

I'm not sure why folks would use this parking lot for this purpose, but I figure they have their reasons.

I really need to start posting on this blog more regularly. Can you believe it's been since January third since I last transferred my whining into text? Well, here's a post.

I'm having surgery soon. I've never had surgery before, so I'm a bit nervous. And it's not like it's Super Invasive. They're removing my tonsils and part of my uvula (you know, the dangly thing in the back of the throat). They may also take out the adenoids, which are like tonsils, but they're behind the nose. The reasoning? Hopefully, after the procedure, I will be able to breathe normally when I lie down, and not keep my wife awake all night with my snoring. Snoring akin to a drunken whale... or a sick rhino.

There's also something else they say about the adenoids, and it's closely related to the ADHD trend that all the cool little kids are having these days. There was an article in a magazine a while back that mused about how the adenoids (when enlarged, as mine are) cause the sufferer to constantly wake up many, many times throughout the night. This leads to an inability to focus during the day. I've never been able to truly put mental focus into anything. In fact, when I was in second grade, they had to put a big wooden box on my desk so I couldn't stare out the windows. So it's a shot. Maybe I can calm down and concentrate. That'll be helpful in any of my current careers. Firefighters need to be able to focus, but so do bank tellers. Ironically, people have said I make a pretty good web designer. Maybe I'll better, maybe worse. But the biggest fear is that the surgery will have no noticeable effect. I could wake up, spend two weeks healing, and then be just as I was.

Latest thing I've learned: It's great to "think outside the box," but it really depends on the box.
